1987 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 300 E

Comes with over $3,000 worth of in the box new MB parts! Only 58,400 original miles and it shows. This last generation of the truly hand-built, tank-like Mercedes is in superb all-original condition. It is a one family owned car that was babied by a fastidious owner who planned to keep the car forever. A bit compulsive by his own admission, he purchased a large cache of extra parts for the future...over $3,000 to be exact--see inventory description below. The iconic MB light ivory paint is all original and shines like new with only minor blemishes that are detailed in the photographs. There are a few minor touch ups and one minor door ding on the driver side left front fender and one touched-up scratch on the trunk--see photos. Quite incredible for a vehicle that is now over 30 years old. The MB-tex interior is absolutely like new. The seats show no wear or sagging, even the netting mounted on the back of the front seats are fully elastic and like new--these are almost always droopy, but not in this example. Interior nitpicks are the slightest fading on the rear parcel shelf carpeting and one small strip on the passenger door card pulling away from the backing--a minor issue that can be easily corrected, but is mentioned for completeness. The beautiful zebrano wood is minty with no cracks whatsoever. The headliner is excellent. The floor carpet is like new with no blems. The rims are perfect with no curb rash. We installed new tires as the old ones were perfect, yet too old to be trustworthy. The original spare has never been out of the trunk. The toolkit is still in its original plastic. Truly a time warp automobile in remarkable shape. As expected this Mercedes rides like a new high-caliber car. The engine feels fresh and all systems work as designed.
